Arthur was born in Salt Lake City, and has been drawing ever since he could
pick up a pencil. Fantasy and mythology provide endless fascination for
this artist. Whether in the aspect of Celtic gods and goddesses, warrior
women, fairies, elves, or contemporary women and men, his continuing goal is
to communicate the sensual spirituality of the human form.
In addition to his science fiction and fantasy art, he also produces
graphic design and illustration for business, and accepts personal and
commercial commissions. His work has appeared in magazines, catalogs, and
as murals in public buildings.
Arthur has been represented by Knotworks (Barbara Loewenhagen) since
November 1995. He created the designs for a line of over 300 greeting cards
and prints for Knotworks, now sold in various retail stores throughout the
United States.
He works in many mediums: photography, computer, acrylic, watercolor, and even sculpture. As he says, "The final effect that I want for the picture determines the medium and technique that I use to create it. It's almost as if the picture tells me how it wants to be done."
